Why I don’t do negative book reviews

Oh, the internet and your faceless, pulsing mass of minions.

As you can see, I like to do book reviews. As you can also see, all of my reviews are positive. Someone asked, “Hey D. Why do you only do good book reviews? What about the bad books you read?”

Well, it’s not that I’m too nice. Really. It’s because if a book is bad, I’m not going to write about it. In one of the only instances where I have actually listened to my mother, if I have nothing nice to say, I will not say it at all. I view book reviews as an opportunity to share with my friends what books I think they should read and why. I’m not here to bad mouth the really crappy ones. They may be someone else’s favorite book, and who am I to say it’s crap (even if I think so)?

I think on the internet it’s too easy to be nameless and faceless, throwing out nasty grams to anyone and everyone. So while it’s true that I have disliked books enough to throw them across the room, run over them with a car, or donate it quickly to St. Vincent de Paul, I’d rather not talk about it. Bad books make me sad.

Speaking of the St. Vincent, y’all should check it out for your donations. It’s a great place to donate and help the community – both through low-priced items and as a place for people to learn how to work. Check it out!

And, because this has been kinda heavy, here’s a LOL Cat.
