Les Miserables – The Movie!

Oh my goodness, have you seen Les Miserables? It was so beautifully done. I cried almost the entire time (sorry friends I was with!). Anne Hathaway as Fantine was one of the best performances I’ve seen this year. I dare you not to cry! She has such an amazing voice. It’s so refreshing to see talented, beautiful actresses in Hollywood who can do more than pout their botoxed lips.

Surprise hit of the movie for me? Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thenardier (the innkeepers wife). Did you notice her? I swear, if she is in a scene, she steals it.

Ms. Carter is also the actress of one of my favorite scenes in any movie of all time:

Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter) playing Emma Watson (Hermione) playing Bellatrix Lestrange. Um, yeah. Incepti-Bellatrix!

Okay, my brain hurts. Anyway, fantastic movie and I really recommend you watch it.

Next up, The Hobbit! I can hardly stand my excitement!

  1. I’d check this out, but I’m SO not a musical fan. :/

  2. Have you read the book? It’s pretty good as well. I saw the original version of this movie. For that reason I don’t think I can sit through the new one. Glad you liked it!
