What’s it about? Miki Jones carefully controls everything in her life since her mother died. Then, when she rushes to save a little girl from being run over, she is crushed to death. Or so she thinks. Miki wakes up, magically healed, in the Lobby, a giant field with several other teens. She’s been pulled into an alternate reality where teens fight aliens on planet Earth who have come to consume and destroy us. Jackson Tate, the enigmatic and enormously hot team leader, helps her through her first few rounds of the game, making sure she survives. But are his motives entirely pure? Will Miki survive the game to make it back to her version of reality, again and again?

Should you read it? Yes! If you love video games or aliens, read this book. Heck, even if you don’t, I still would recommend it. I’m not usually an alien kinda girl, but this fast-paced and fun read will keep you entertained. With not one, but TWO suitably handsome guys, Miki sure has her hands full, and readers will have trouble deciding which one is Miki’s better choice. By the way, it’s Jackson. Clearly.
