Rewrites

As much as it pains me to admit it, a rewrite for BLEACHED seems to be in order.

I know quite a few of you will say, why? Just keep submitting it! Someone will love it! Don’t listen to them!

The truth of the matter is, if every single person who read the first pages was not interested and did not ask for more, there is something wrong. I won’t go in to details on what I think might be the problem, but the jist is that the manuscript isn’t there yet. So, I begin on this terrifying fulfilling road again of writing and re-writing, before I’ll submit to more agents.

Of course I would rather have had someone pick up the phone and rush to offer me representation, but I can guarantee that won’t happen if I don’t look the obvious truth in the face. Something is off, and I need to find it. Then I just might get that phone call someday 😉

Here we go again! Test-readers, you’ll have new chapters to read soon!

Being a writer is easy. Getting published is hard.

Being the crappy friend that I am, I still haven’t read the original manuscript. So sorry. I’ll give you my lame excuses when I see you in person :-). But, having read other manuscripts of yours, I’m sure it is amazing! I’m sorry you have to rewrite, but I’m sure the next version will be even more amazing and you will have agents knocking your door down!

No, you are not crappy, you are busy! Don’t worry about it. Maybe you can read this next one. You are sweet. Hopefully this next one will be better. It’s just frustrating I didn’t see this problem before!
