What is it about? Reached is the crazy exciting conclusion to the MATCHED series. Set in a Stepford-wives type dystopic future, Cassia is the obedient daughter to two loving parents. She doesn’t question the Society when they tell her what to do, who to marry, or what to eat. But when, at her matching ceremony for marriage, a handsome neighbor boy who is not eligible for matching accidentally flashes on her screen, she begins to question the Society and their intentions.

This book wraps up pretty much everything readers are hoping for. Without giving away too many things for those of you who have not read the whole series yet, I can safely say I was satisfied with this ending. Nearly twice as thick as the first two books, Reached leaves no little plot point untied 😉 Some people may not like that, however I’m kind of a fan. I hate reading a series only to get to the end, and have no resolution.

Of course there is still the great love triangle between constant, kind and noble Xander, perfect Society boy and secret rebel renegade, and Ky, the hot aberration who’s moody eyes Cassia can’t get enough of. More characters are introduced, which is great as the story would get a little stale at this point without them. This also allows the story to move in more interesting directions with the love triangle, expanding their drama 😉

Should you read it? Yes! Read the entire MATCHED series. It’s just a great, exciting love story that is dystopic future, without being too gory or horrifying. I really loved this series.

Melanie Jacobson – I want, I need, I MUST have this book.Ally really is a cool girl. A few years ago (three, now?) when I first sttaerd writing, my sister went to a book signing (West Jordan-ish)and met Ally. When my sister mentioned that I had sttaerd writing, Ally, of her own free will, told her to tell me to email her with any questions I had and she’d be glad to help. I had never even thought to do such a thing, but I took her up on it. She pointed me, a stranger, in the direction of all kinds of great links and resources that gave me a complete jump start on starting my publishing journey.I doubt she remembers doing that, but here I am, on the brink of having my first two books come out, and she was one of the very first people to offer help on that journey. She’s neat, and I’m delighted for her.And I want to win that book.November 30, 2010 12:08 pm
